AstroPrompt Pro lets you edit the prompts that guide AI responses. Every interpretation you receive is shaped by a set of instructions — the system prompt, data description, report structure, and suggested questions. Pro unlocks those controls so you can customize how the AI interprets astrological data: change its tone, restructure its analysis, respond in another language, or embed your own unique interpretive point of view. It's really interesting and easy to use, but best suited for power users who have time to experiment.
AstroPrompt is free to download and use. We cover the cost of AI interpretations up to a point — all new users get 30 free premium AI queries using the best models (OpenAI, Anthropic). After that, you can continue getting interpretations from budget AI models at no charge (they're useful, though not as good as the premium models). If you'd prefer to keep using premium models, a monthly subscription fee gives you ongoing access. Usage of AI models costs us money, so the subscriptions exist to cover those costs. We take a small loss on everyone's use of budget AI models so the app remains accessible to anyone, regardless of ability to pay.

Different AI models have different interpretive styles — GPT-5.2 tends to produce the most astrologically fluent responses, Claude Opus offers nuanced psychological depth, Gemini is strong on synthesis and research context, and budget models like Grok or DeepSeek give fast, serviceable answers for quick questions. AstroPrompt lets you switch between models within any view and even retry the same question with a different model to compare interpretations side by side. Because each model was trained differently, their astrological perspectives can diverge in illuminating ways.
Birth data is sensitive — it reveals age, origin, and other personal details. AstroPrompt stores all birth records locally in your browser only and never sends them to our server. There is no account, no login, and no profile. The only information Timecasters receives is an anonymous device ID, your timezone, and aggregate usage statistics (which features were used, how many AI queries). Your name, birth data, and chat messages are never transmitted to us. However, you should know, when you use AI Chat, we don't see your chat, but your message and the chart data go to the AI provider (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) for that specific query — their privacy policies apply to those interactions.

Every AI interpretation in AstroPrompt is guided by a set of prompts — instructions that tell the AI what the astrological data represents, how to approach a full report, what tone to take, and which questions to suggest. Standard AstroPrompt uses carefully developed default prompts that work well for most people. AstroPrompt Pro exposes those controls so you can change them. The result is AI interpretation that reflects your priorities, your language, your framework — not just ours. Each of AstroPrompt's views has four independently editable prompt elements. Changes to one view don't affect any other.
System Prompt
The foundational instruction that sets the AI's overall tone, style, and approach — and applies to every message in the conversation. The default produces balanced, measured analysis. You can change it to anything: terse bullet-point summaries, a specific cultural or traditional framework, a particular language, or even a lengthy style guide that reproduces your own voice for client-facing work. This is the most powerful lever for fundamentally changing the character of the AI's responses.
Data Description
Tells the AI what the raw astrological data in the left pane actually represents. Changing this shifts how the AI understands the underlying dataset — influencing both full reports and answers to any question, often in subtle but cumulative ways. Advanced users can use this to direct the AI's attention toward specific technical elements they care about most.
Full Report Prompt
The detailed instruction used when a user generates a full report. This is typically the longest prompt and has the greatest single impact on report quality and structure. The default walks the AI through a specific analytical sequence. You can replace this entirely — focusing the report on career and finance, restructuring it around traditional techniques, or embedding specific frameworks from any interpretive school you work with. This is where the most distinctive transformations happen.

The starter questions that appear in the chat greeting. Replace the defaults with the questions you (or clients) ask most frequently. This makes it faster to use AstroPrompt for repetitive work.
