1. Introduction

Timecasters LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates AstroPrompt (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our web application, desktop application, and website at timecasters.com.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide

  • Account information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and authentication credentials (via Google, Apple, or email sign-up).
  • Birth data: You may enter birth date, time, and location to generate astrological charts. This data is stored locally on your device (desktop app) or in your browser's local storage (web app) and is not transmitted to our servers except when sent to AI models for interpretation.
  • Payment information: Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers or bank account details. Stripe may collect payment information subject to their own privacy policy.

Information collected automatically

  • Installation identifier: A random anonymous identifier is generated when you first use the app. This is used for usage metering and analytics. It is not linked to your identity unless you create an account.
  • Usage analytics: We collect anonymous usage data including page views, feature usage, session duration, browser type, and operating system. We use Clicky Analytics for website analytics.
  • Attribution data: We may capture UTM parameters, referrer URLs, and promotional codes from your first visit for marketing attribution purposes.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve the Service
  • Process subscription payments and manage your account
  • Enforce usage limits and prevent abuse
  • Send transactional communications (e.g., payment receipts)
  • Analyze aggregate usage patterns to improve the product
  • Respond to your support requests

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not send marketing emails unless you explicitly opt in.

4. AI Model Providers

When you use AI chat features, your prompts (which may include birth data and astrological context) are sent to third-party AI model providers (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and xAI) to generate responses. These providers process data according to their own privacy policies. We select AI providers that do not use API inputs for model training.

We do not send your email address, account credentials, or payment information to AI providers.

5. Data Storage and Security

Account data and subscription records are stored on servers operated by InsForge (our backend provider) in the United States. Birth data entered in the app is stored locally on your device and is not persisted on our servers.

We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption for all data in transit, authenticated API endpoints, and access-controlled databases. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Third-Party Services

The Service uses the following third-party services that may collect data:

  • Stripe — payment processing
  • InsForge — backend hosting, authentication, and database
  • Clicky Analytics — website analytics
  • Google / Apple — OAuth authentication (if you choose these sign-in methods)
  • AI model providers — chat interpretation generation

Each of these services operates under its own privacy policy.

7. Cookies and Local Storage

The web application uses browser local storage and session storage to persist your preferences, chart data, and authentication tokens. We use Clicky Analytics which may set cookies for visitor analytics. The desktop application stores data locally on your device using the operating system's secure storage facilities.

8. Data Retention

We retain account and subscription data for as long as your account is active. Usage analytics are retained in aggregate form. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal information from our systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., financial records for tax purposes).

9. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your personal information
  • Export your data in a portable format
  • Object to or restrict certain processing of your data

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

11. International Users

The Service is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page with a revised effective date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
